Obituary of Lou Anna Sisler

Lou Anna Sisler, 92, of Bruceton Mills, WV, (Hazelton community) passed away Friday, April 25, 2025, at Oakland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Oakland, MD. The daughter of the late Frank McKinley Shafer and Dessie Alice Hauger Shafer, she was born October 19, 1932, Brandonville (Bruceton Mills), WV. Lou Anna attended the Glade Farms Church, was a homemaker, and owned and operated her greenhouse for many years. Lou Anna is survived by two daughters and their spouses: Adra and Buddy Joe Lewis of Bruceton Mills and Linda Lou and Lawrence Michaels of Middle River, MD; two sons and their spouses: Richard D. and Shirley Sisler of Terra Alta, WV, and Wayne and Lesley Sisler of Keyser, WV; a daughter-in-law, Connie Sisler, of Reedsville, WV; sixteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Martha Smith, of Okeechobee, FL. In addition to her parents, Lou Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Paul Sisler; three sons: Paul, Roy, and Jerry Lynn Sisler; three grandsons; seven brothers: Alva, Herbert, Paul, Freddie, Buddy, Frankie, and Russell Shafer; and three sisters: Glenna McCarty, Maxine Sisler, and Ada Mae Kremple. Family and friends may call at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, WV, on Monday, April 28, 2025, from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m., and on Tuesday, April 29, from 12 noon until the 1:00 p.m. service with Pastor Charles Teets officiating.
