Obituary of Billy John DeVall

Billy John “Pops” DeVall, 73, of Tunnelton, WV, passed away Friday, May 16, 2025, at his home. The son of the late Homer “Buss” DeVall and June Irene Miller DeVall, he was born August 27, 1951, in Morgantown, WV. Billy was a graduate of Bruceton High School. He was a coal miner for most of his life and enjoyed life and his family. He is survived by his wife, Patricia McCrobie; a son and his wife, Brian J. and BiBiana Devall, of Tunnelton; a daughter and her spouse, Tonya and Tony Wolfe, of Morgantown; his aunt, Jean Walls, of Valley Point; a cousin, Sue Metheny, of Brandonville, WV; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by cousins, Herman Duane Walls and Larry Metheny; two uncles, Vernon Ray Miller and Richard Dallas Miller; and two aunts, Berline Bolinger and Wilma Titchenell. Following Billy’s request, cremation will be provided by the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, WV. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
