Born in Parkersburg, WV, Theresa was the cherished daughter of Kenneth and Wilma Echard. She dedicated her life to education, spending many years shaping young minds as a devoted teacher in Wetzel County, particularly at Long Drain School in Hundred, WV. Her patience, kindness, and commitment left a lasting impact on generations of students. Theresa was married to her loving husband, John Hucik, with whom she built a life rooted in love, faith, and family. Together, they raised two children, Brian and Monica Hucik, who were the pride of her life. She was a proud grandmother to Nick and Hannah Summers and Brandon Hucik, who brought her endless joy. Theresa’s legacy is one of compassion, dedication, and quiet strength. She will be remembered for her warm heart, her steady presence, and the deep love she had for her family and her community. In accordance with Theresa’s wishes, cremation services were provided by Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville- Bruceton Mills, WV.
