Obituary of Charles Edgar Sypolt

Charles Edgar “Butch” (Truck Driver) Sypolt, 79, of Albright, WV, passed away November 12, 2025, at his home. The son of the late Edgar and Betty Kempher Sypolt, he was born January 27, 1946, in Terra Alta, WV. Butch (Truck Driver) was an employee with Doughtery Coal Company, and he drove a coal truck for Marie Jenkins and Terry Jenkins for over 25 years. He loved farming and spending time outdoors and enjoying his grandchildren. Charles Edgar is survived by his wife of 56 years, Linda Stemple Sypolt; a son, Michael Sypolt, Sr., and his partner, Barb Nine, of Albright; four grandchildren, and six great grandchildren; two brothers: Robert and David and his wife, Lisa; six brothers-in-law; three sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Sypolt; four sisters: Jane Smith, Mary Ann Felton, Deborah Gower, and Helen Terry; and brothers-in-law: Darwin Stemple, Russel White and Dave Syruws. Family and friends will be received at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, WV, on November 16, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and Monday from 12 noon until the service at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Marvin Frankhouser officiating.
