Obituary of Earnest Ray Fearer

Ernest Ray Fearer, 86, of Bruceton Mills, WV, died November 30, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at his home. The son of the late Dorsey and Dessie Shoyer Fearer, he was born August 7, 1939, in Friendsville, Maryland. Ernest was employed in the sawmill and timber industry for fifty years. He enjoyed watching the birds and squirrels and wrestling, and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Madeline Rosenberger Fearer; two sons and their wives, Donald and Judy Fearer and Tracy and Lisa Fearer of Bruceton Mills, WV; one daughter and her husband, Julie and Michael Sesko, of Germantown, Maryland; five grandchildren: Donald G. Fearer, Cody Fearer, Trevor Sesko, Kayla Sesko, and Jeffrey Sapp; and two great grandchildren, Addyson Fearer and Donald Jase Fearer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Ann Sapp; one son, Jeffrey Fearer; five sisters; and two brothers. Family and friends may be received at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home Brandonvile-Bruceton Mills, WV, on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, from 4:00-7:00 p.m., and on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Michael Ludle officiating.
