Obituary of Harry Clayton Rodeheaver

Harry Clayton Rodeheaver, 91, of Bruceton Mills (Mt. Dale community), WV passed away peacefully on August 30, 2023, at his home. He was the son of the late Frank and Ruby Rodeheaver, he was born May 12, 1932, in Bruceton Mills. Clayton is survived by a son and his wife, Perry and Debi Rodeheaver, of Friendsville, MD; a daughter, Sharon Pingley, of Bruceton Mills; one sister, Charlotte League, of South Carolina; eight grandchildren: Danielle Detrick, Michael Pingley, Terry Rodeheaver, Jeremy Pingley, Kristy Hook, Andrew Rodeheaver, Kent Rodeheaver, and Kody Niedermeyer; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Rodeheaver; two sons, Gary Lynn and Gerald Rodeheaver; a son-in-law, Mike Pingley; and three brothers: Robert, Gary, and Homer Rodeheaver. In accordance with Clayton’s wishes, his body was donated to science. A memorial service for Clayton will be held on September 23, 2023, at 1:00 p.m., at Mountain Dale Church in Bruceton Mills. The Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, WV, is assisting the family. Condolences may be sent to the family at spearfuneralhome.net.
