Obituary of Stanley Regius Evans
Stanley Regius Evans,
91, of Bruceton Mills (Glade Farms community) passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2018, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV.
The son of the late Edwin Ross and Ruby Pearl Faulkner Evans, he was born August 22, 1926, in Hazelton, WV.
He was a retired coal miner, and he enjoyed hunting.
Regius is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Darlene and David Bryte and Wendy and Jim Everly, of Bruceton Mills; a son and his wife, Terry and Virginia Evans, of Bruceton Mills; six grandchildren: Brian Bryte and his wife, Joni, Nelson Bryte, Mandy Evans, Nathan Evans and his wife, Tara, Chastity Everly, and Katie Jo Hovatter and her husband, Jared; and three great-grandchildren: Trenton, Dalton, and Nora Bryte.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Ruth Fike Evans, April 12, 2009; a son, Richard Evans; a brother; and three sisters.
Family and friends may call at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, WV, Sunday, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., and Monday, February 19, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service in the funeral home, with Pastors Steve Wotring and Tim Wotring officiating. Burial will be in the Shady Grove Cemetery, Bruceton Mills, WV.
The family would like to thank the friends and neighbors for the care and help they have given their father.
