Obituary of Daisy Mae Maxon
Daisy Mae Maxon,
70, of Bruceton Mills, WV, passed away Monday, March 12, 2018, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, in Morgantown, WV.
The daughter of the late Roscoe and Brenace McCartney Cogar, she was born March 8, 1948, in Hacker Valley, WV.
Daisy was a secretary for 34 years at the WVU Davis College of Agriculture and Natural
Resources and Design. She was an amateur ham operator and a loving wife, mother, and an amazing friend.
She is survived by her husband, John M. Maxon; a daughter, Ronda Lea Maxon, of Morgantown, WV; and two half-sisters, Chrissy Cogar of Webster County and Darlene Cogar McCourt of Hacker Valley.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Nevia Jordan, and three brothers: Buddy, Buster, and Paul Cogar.
Family and friends may call at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills for a memorial service, Saturday, March 17, 2018, from 1:00 until the 5:00 p.m. service with Rev. Brad Washburn officiating.
Daisy was an animal lover, and in lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to a local pet shelter.
