Obituary of Franklin Bruce Reckart

Franklin Bruce Reckart,

     80, of Bruceton Mills, WV, died Saturday, May 26, 2018, at Pine Ridge of Kingwood, WV.
     The son of the late Bruce A. Reckart and Faye Reckart, he was born July 25, 1937, in Bruceton Mills (Mt. Dale Community), WV.
     Franklin was a Christian by faith and a veteran of the U.S. Army.  He was a former self-employed partner with the Reckart Brothers Mining and enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, watching westerns, country music and family gatherings.
     He is survived by a son and his companion, Adam Reckart and Karen, of Cuzzart; three daughters: Tameria Konchesky and companion, Bo, of Cuzzart, Heidi Shaver and husband, John, of Bruceton Mills and Erica Layman and husband, Jim, of Rivesville; two sisters, Geraldine McElroy and Dorothy Miller and her husband, Wayne, of Bruceton Mills; and a brother, Robert C. Reckart, of Bruceton Mills; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy J. Reckart, on May 16,, 2011; a brother, Melvin Dempsey Reckart; and a nephew, Willie "Botch" Reckart. 
     Family and friends may call at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, and Wednesday, May 30, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service in the funeral home, with Robert (Butch) Readd officiating.  Burial will follow in the Parnell Cemetery, Cuzzart, WV.
     Following the funeral, family and friends are invited to a covered dish meal at the North Preston Senior Center.
