Gene Z. Gribble, Sr.,
76, of Bruceton Mills (Pisgah Community), WV, died Friday, June 3, 2016, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV.
The son of the late Herbert and Vernis L. Wolfe Gribble, he was born September 3, 1939, in Pisgah, WV.
Gene was a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and he coached baseball for 12 years. He was a loving father and grandfather.
He is survived by his life partner, Dawn J. Hart; a daughter and spouse, JoEllyn and Norman Hixenbaugh; three sons, George H. Gribble and spouse, O'Neil, Gene Z. Gribble, Jr. and partner, Nancy, and James J. Gribble and spouse, Mary, all of Pisgah, WV; two step-children, Erica Griffith and spouse, Sean of Fairmont, WV and Ryan Hart of Pisgah, WV; a brother and spouse, Eddie and Jeannie Gribble of Pisgah; one nephew, Eddie Gribble, Jr.; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, Sunday, from 3-7 p.m., and Monday, June 6, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service in the funeral home with Pastor Steve Wotring officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Bruceton Mills.
