Obituary of Geraldine Fay Durr

Geraldine Fay "Gerry" Durr,

     73, of Albright (Valley Point community), WV, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at Mon Health Medical Center, Morgantown, WV.
     The daughter of the late William Henry and Gladys Armatha Titchenell Hall, she was born November 11, 1944, in Duquesne, Pa.
     She loved to spend time with her family, liked to do Word Find Puzzles, watch Westerns on TV and go to Thrift Stores.  She was well known for her kindness, generosity and her good meals she prepared, especially macaroni and cheese.  Also, she liked to eat sweets and Tacos.
     Gerry is survived by her husband of 55 years, John William Durr; two daughters and their spouses, Denise and Michael Schmidle and Elsie and Lloyd Goodwin; a son and his wife, John Jr. and Sherry Durr; grandchildren who were her pride and joy: Martine and spouse, Andy Stefan, Zoe, Autumn and Wyatt Durr, and Jacob and Jordan Goodwin; three brothers; and two sisters.
     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
     Family and friends may call at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, WV, Wednesday, from 6-8 p.m., and Thursday, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., and Friday, June 29, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service in the funeral chapel, with Pastor Sonny McNear officiating.  Burial will follow in the Beech Run Cemetery, Albright.
