Obituary of Barbara Ann Burnsworth
Barbara Ann Weatherholt Burnsworth,
73, of Bruceton Mills, (Glade Farms Community) WV, passed away peacefully with her family at her side at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital on Sunday, November 25, 2018.
She was born in Morgantown, WV on June 3, 1945, the daughter of the late Bonnie Wisniewski Turner Weatherholt and Ellis Gale Weatherholt.
She was a graduate of University High School and left the area for Phillipsburg, NJ in 1965. She resided in the Phillipsburg area for 36 years until returning to West Virginia in 2001.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death in 2016 by her husband of 54 years Chester H. Burnsworth and her brother John Andrew Turner in 2012.
Barbara is survived by two very close and special siblings, sister, Kathy Weatherholt Molnar and her husband, Joseph of Morgantown and a brother, Mike Weatherholt and his wife Mary of Easton, PA; also survived by a brother Donald Turner and wife Elaine and a sister Bonnie Johnson and husband Robert, both of Morgantown and a sister, Linda Stanley of Fairmont; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2018, from 6 until 8 p.m., at Spruce Street United Methodist Church, in Morgantown. Interment with be later at the Fairview (Pisgah) Cemetery, Bruceton Mills.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Preston County Humane Society at PO Box 395, Kingwood, WV 26537 and the Ruth Enlow Library of Garrett County, 6 North 2nd Street, Oakland, MD 21550.
Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills will be assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
