Obituary of Edward Hall Burnham
EDWARD H. BURNHAM,
89, of Albright (Valley Point community), WV, died after a short illness on May 15, 2019, at his home.
The son of the late Elizabeth Hall and William Albright Burnham, Sr., he was born in East Orange, New Jersey, on Palm Sunday, April 13, 1930.
Ed was a U.S Army Veteran and served in Korea. He had a long career in personnel management (human relations) in the Washington, D.C. area and helped create one of the first alcohol treatment inpatient programs in the United States. In his later years, until retirement, he worked in retail hardware. He was also known for his dry sense of humor.
He is survived by his son, Eric Hall Burnham of Albright.
In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his brother, William Burnham, Jr.
Cremation services have been provided by Carl R. Spear Funeral Home, Bruceton Mills-Brandonville, WV.
