Obituary of Virginia Ruth Barnes

Virginia R. Barnes,

     87, of Bruceton Mills (Hazelton community), WV, passed away Monday, September 23, 2019, at Mapleshire Nursing and Rehab Center, Morgantown, WV.
     The daughter of the late Clarence E. and Grace L. Fike Friend, she was born December 15, 1931, in Selbysport, MD.
     Virginia was a member of the Hazelton Church of The Brethren.
     She is survived by a son and his wife, Randy and Teresa Barnes of Bruecton Mills; a daughter and her husband, Roxanne and Martin "Bud" Wotring of Bruceton Mills; four grandchildren and their spouse: Gregory and Beth Wotring, Matthew and Jennifer Wotring, Curtis and Brooke Barnes and Aaron Barnes and fiance`e Amber Neyman.
     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell C. "Barney" Barnes, a brother, Wayne Friend, two sisters, Glendine Moyers and Goldie Thomas.
     Family and friends may call at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, Wednesday, September 25, 2019, from 2-8 p.m., and Thursday, September 26, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service in the funeral home, with Pastor Barry M. Adkins officiating.
     Burial will follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery, Bruceton Mills.
