Obituary of Delbert Eugene Reckart

Delbert Eugene Reckart, 79, of Albright (Valley Point community) WV, passed away Friday, December 27, 2019, at his residence, surrounded by his family. The son of the late Daniel Henry and Rena Evelyn Strawser Reckart, he was born December 5, 1940, at Crellin, MD. Delbert worked for Rockville Mining and had his own business, Reckart Enterprises. He enjoyed his farm, being with family, helping others and his dog Tazzy. He is survived by his wife, Lila Jean (Kelly) Reckart; three sons: David Reckart, Steven and his wife, Janie Reckart and Norman Reckart and his companion, Amber Cline; a former daughter-in-law, Lori Reckart; a brother, Rodney Reckart and his wife, Dixie; three sisters: Lucy (Patty) Strauss and her husband, Bill, Sue Harris and Nelda Koch; six grandchildren: Kelly, Matthew, Monica, Garett, Carson and Carter; and two great-grandchildren, Kendra Rankin and Hunter Reckart. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters. Family and friends may call at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, WV, Monday, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., and Tuesday, December 31, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service in the funeral home, with Pastor Cindy Lee officiating.
