Dear family,
Sandy and I deeply regret that we are unable to attend the home going of our dear Aunt Freda. We will miss our visits and prayer times with her. The hardest part now is to realize that we are the “oldest generation” of the Clark family. We have quite a responsibility to those coming behind us. They are watching us as we did our parents and grandparents. May we lead them in the path of righteousness.
Our family is extremely important to us and we have made every effort to be there for each of them when possible, unfortunately at times we must make a very difficult choice. Sometimes those choices make it impossible to do everything we would want to do.
Sandy had lost track of one of her cousins, Bill Bishop, for over 50 years and just in the last few years we found Bill and made contact with him in Port Charlotte, Florida. We have visited Bill for three years while we were wintering in Florida.
We learned that Bill had been dealing with various health problems for many years. We made a commitment with Bill to help him with his home. While doing so, Bill became hospitalized and has continued to decline. Last night he was move from the hospital to Hospice care. Bill’s wife, Shirley, is overwhelmed with all that is going on and has no family near, and at this time she desperately needs help. We have been told that Bill is dying and only has a few weeks or days to live. We feel that we need to help here as we can. We are so sorry that we can’t be there with you.
Aunt Freda was the glue that kept the family, and extended family connected. That glue is left behind on all of us that loved her! We must continue to stick together. Freda taught us that our first priority is our personal relationship with God, and our second is with our family. We never give up on each other. You are loved.
We deeply regret that we will not be there with our family during this time, but will be there in our thoughts and prayers.
May the presence of Jesus be there and may He be glorified as we remember the life of Aunt Freda and may each family member and friends know His peace and presence. God bless you all.
Love and prayers,
Claude & Sandy
