Mabel Fern Kelley,
88, of Bruceton Mills, WV, died Saturday, July 9, 2016, at her home.
The daughter of the late William Scott and Edna Opal Mosser King, she was born June 19, 1928, in Bruceton Mills (Hopewell Community), WV.
Mabel enjoyed working in her flower and vegetable garden and spending time with her family and friends. She liked to spend her winters in Florida, vacation in Pigeon Forge, TN, and the Amish Country in Ohio, and also enjoyed watching RFDTV, Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. She graduated from Bruceton High School in 1946 and was a member of the Hopewell Church.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Willard Ray Kelley; a daughter and her husband, Nancy and Tom Dennis, of Bruceton Mills; two granddaughters and their husbands, Joni and Rik Woodland of Bruceton Mills and Robin and Jeremy Self of Buckhannon, WV; three great grandchildren, Grayson and Gunner Self and Hatti Woodland; and two sisters and their spouses, Mary and Dale Wolfe and Helen and Delford Hoover of Bruceton Mills.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, William (Bill) King, and a sister, Naomi Benson.
Family and friends may call at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, Tuesday, from 3-5 and 6-8 p.m., and Wednesday, July 13, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service in the funeral chapel, with Pastor Tim Wotring and Rev. Joe Lamm officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Bruceton Mills (Pisgah), WV.
