Earl “Moe” Glotfelty, 89, a retired American Airlines Aircraft Technician, passed away on Tuesday; September 8, 2020 at his home in Granbury. He was born April 19, 1931 in Sunnyside, Maryland to Jonas and Mary Jane Glotfelty. He married Helen Fike on January 10, 1965 at Glade Farms in Preston County, West Virginia. Moe worked for American Airlines for (35) years. He was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Granbury and was also a veteran of the United States Air Force. He is survived by his wife of (55) years, Helen Fike Glotfelty; sons, Doug Glotfelty and wife Mary Grace of Mansfield, TX and Greg Glotfelty of Frisco, TX; grandchildren, Scott, Lauren, Jenna and Josh. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jonas and Mary Jane Glotfelty; sisters, Louellyn Rodeheaver, Ruth Burkholder, Sue Beasley; brother, Robert Lee Glotfelty. Moe will lie in state at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury from 8:00 AM. until 8:00 PM. Friday; September 11, 2020 with family to greet friends from 5:00 PM. to 7:00 PM. Friday. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM. Saturday; September 12, 2020 at the First United Methodist Church of Granbury. Additional service will be held in West Virginia at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, WV, Tuesday, September 15, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until the 12:00 p.m. service with Rev. Vicki D. Sheppard officiating. Burial will follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery in Bruceton Mills, WV, with military honors provided by the Preston County VFW. Condolences: www.spearfuneralhome.net
