Robert C. Reckart, 78, of Millen, GA, and formerly of Cuzzart, WV, died Monday, July 5, 2021, in Georgia. The son of the late Bruce A. and Faye Reckart, he was born April 28, 1943, in Mountain Dale, WV. Robert was a co-founder of Rocky Ridge Enterprises (Reckart Mining) and owner of CBS Trucking. He enjoyed time with his family and hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Betty L. Gordon Reckart; two daughters: Carmen Reckart and companion, Ronnie Burroughs, and Stephanie Reckart and Phil Rosenberger; a son, Brooks Reckart; grandchildren: Nathan and Julia Cupp, Shelby Cupp, Felica Reckart, Jeremiah and Samantha Adams, and Charly Rosenberger; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters: Geraldine McElroy and Dorothy Miller and her husband, Wayne. He was preceded in death by two brothers: Melvin Dempsey Reckart and Franklin Bruce Reckart and his wife, Peggy; and two nephews, Michael Miller and Willie “Botch” Reckart. Family and friends may call at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, WV, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Friday, and Saturday, July 10, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service in the funeral home, with Pastor Steve Wotring officiating.
