Obituary of Daley Russell Benson
Daley Russell Benson,
84, of Bruceton Mils (Clifton Mills community), WV, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2021, surrounded by loved ones.
He was born on February 24, 1937, in Clifton Mills, WV, a son of the late Benjamin Russell and Rosa Pearl Fike Benson. Dale was a loving husband and father and treasured that part of his life. Dale was an active member of the Clifton Church of the Brethren, and a long-time Bruceton Mills Town Councilman. Dale took such pride in his work and retired after many years of service as a tanker truck driver from BFS. Dale often shared that he loved his job so much he never worked a day in his life. Dale also loved his collection of Ford vehicles, riding his Harley while listening to Fleetwood Mac, and his life-long community, where he was honored with the Bruceton Good Neighbor award in 2019.
Dale’s greatest love was his wife, Helen, and raising their family and building a home with her. Dale was a jack of all trades and known for his ability to fix any and everything. You could often find him ‘tinkering’ in the garage or going out of his way to help a friend, neighbor, or stranger.
