Obituary of Mildred Edna Lykens

Mildred (MeeMee) Edna Lykens, 79, of Bruceton Mills, WV, died Monday, April 11, 2022, at her home. The daughter of the late Donald and Jennie Quade, she was born November 11, 1942, in Niagara Falls, New York. Mildred was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Shopping and gardening were what she loved to do. She worked as a cook at Heritage Reservation for many years and attended Laurel Mountain Baptist Church. Mildred is survived by four sons: Calvin Donald Lykens, Jeffrey Allen Lykens and his wife, Tracy Lynn, William Calvin Lykens, Jr., and his wife, Sharon, and Tracy Lee Lykens and his wife, Amy; six daughters and their spouses: Sandra Clark and Dennis, Jennie Ball and Otto, Denise Marie Shartzer and Donald, Kimberly Ann Baker and Steve, Tina Marie Harris and Edward, and Stacy Sue Duritsky and Jerry; grandchildren: Joel Clark, Collen Clark, Casey Ball, Jason Ball, Stefanie Lilley, Jordon Lykens, Donald Shartzer, Jessica Lykens, Jeffery Lykens, Cody Fike, Jamie Harris, DJ Custer, Kellie and Michael Pyles, Billie Jo and Chance Knox, TJ Lykens and Blake Duritsky; and twelve great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, William C. Lykens Sr., and a grandson, Clifton Luke Fike. Friends will be received at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home, Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, Wednesday, April 13, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until the 1:00 p.m. service with Pastor Butch Rice officiating. Burial will follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery, Bruceton Mills. Condolences: spearfuneralhome.net
