I first met Rick while working at Harrison Power Station in the early 1980's as temporary college help.. He was impressive in that he was kind, easy-going and encouraging. He stood out by choosing not to use off-color language or tell inappropriate jokes. You could tell he valued his reputation and his relationship with God. He also sang a great and heartfelt rendition of "How Great Thou Art" at Scott Rogers' memorial service.

I met Rick when I was a teenager attending Lumberport Baptist Church. He was such a kind and caring man who had a voice from God. I used to love hearing him sing in the choir, especially when he had a solo. I can't remember how long I had known him before we both were baptized together May 31, 1994. Rick and Sally were so kind to me and I loved getting to know both of them throughout the years. I want to send my deepest condolences to Sally, Travis, Brian and all family members.
