I first met Jim Crane more than a decade ago while working one of the Fireman's Breakfast in Kingwood. Little did I know that it would be the beginning of one of my closest and most cherished friendships. Many of my fondest memories include Jim, Janice and their family. Jim and I had some lively adventures over the years and during the course of our friendship. Even though time and distance would sometimes pass between us, we would always pick up right where we left off anytime we talked or saw one another. He had his ornery streak, but he was a consummate gentleman just the same. There is so much I could say about him, but words pale in comparison to the measure of a man that he was. The simplest thing is that I loved him and I'll miss him. Jim was one of the best people I have ever known or will know and one of the best friends I have ever had, or will have. God broke the mold when He made Jim Crane and there will never be another. Rest easy, my friend. As you always told me, "you're my kind of guy" and "keep your powder dry!"
Janice, Janie, Ashlyn, Darcy & family: Please know our hearts are broken right along with yours. If there is anything you need, or that we can do, we are here.
Love,
Luke & Maitlan "Grandma"
